Fams meet with Australian Services Union

Last week, Fams CEO, Susan met with Angus McFarland, Branch Secretary of the Australian Services Union to talk more about the ASU’s latest campaign.

The Australian Services Union (ASU), representing workers in the community and disability sectors, has initiated a Fair Work case, aimed at reviewing and updating the SCHADS Award classifications system. The goal is to establish clearer career and pay pathways for workers.

Recognising the crucial role of Government support and funding in implementing any new classification system, the ASU has launched a public campaign titled “Skilled, Respected, Equal.” This campaign aims to highlight the work within our sector and urge Governments to back the Award case.
